The Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee of Shanghai, the city’s
top political advisory body, yesterday held a conference to give suggestions to
World Expo 2010 organizers.
Zhou Hanmin, vice chairman of the committee and deputy director general of
the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, gave an Expo progress report.
Feng Guoqin, chairman of the committee, said the World Expo is the highest
level exhibition in the world. The Shanghai World Expo is an opportunity for the
city and the country to further development.
Feng said the committee has always attached great importance to the Expo. The
committee will hold more conferences and forums to send suggestions to
organizers.
The committee has sent 115 suggestions to organizers thus far.
Zhou Taitong, Li Liangyuan and Cai Wei, deputy chairmen of the committee,
were also present.
