Zhong Yanqun, fulltime deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, today met a delegation led by Maria Barrados, President of the Public Service Commission of Canada.

Zhong welcome the delegation and updated her on Expo preparations.

Canada signed a participation contract with organizers in January and will build a 6,000-square-meter pavilion. Zhong hoped construction on Canada Pavilion would start as early as possible.

Zhong also hoped more Canadian tourists would visit Shanghai during the Expo period in 2010.

Barrados said she was impressed with ongoing construction at the Expo site and appreciated the efficiency of Shanghai Expo organizers.
