Hu Jinjun, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo
Coordination, yesterday met a delegation from the Aichi economic exchange
department under the Shanghai office of the Japan External Trade Organization.
The two sides exchanged views on the possible exhibition of various aspects
of Matcha, a powdered green tea known as the most traditional type of Japanese
tea and a key part of Japanese tea culture, at World Expo 2010.
Matcha contains a high concentration of minerals, vitamins, fibers,
antioxidants and amino acids and is traditionally used in Japanese tea
ceremonies.
The Japan External Trade Organization is a government-related organization
that works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of
the world.
