Iceland will "gather the country's whole power" to prepare its pavilion for World Expo 2010, the country's Ambassador Gunnar Gunnarsson said when a senior Shanghai Expo official visited the embassy.

Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, thanked the Iceland government and the ambassador's Expo efforts. Zhou said the government had offered great support during Shanghai's bid to host Expo 2010.

Gunnarsson welcomed Zhou and said the government of Iceland has always attached great importance to the event.

Iceland confirmed its participation at Expo 2010 in January.
