paper-cut album made of jade and gold to mark the
600-day countdown to the 2010 World Expo
Shanghai World Expo organizers have issued a paper-cut album made of jade and
gold to mark the 600-day countdown to the 2010 World Expo.
The album includes a piece of jade with a traditional Chinese cloud pattern
on it and four pieces of gilded paper-cut. The paper-cuts, mainly handmade, are
of pigeons, magpies and parrots, all meaning good luck.
The album promotes understanding, coming together, business and communicating
in accord with the Expo theme of "Better Life, Better City."
A total of 5000 albums have been produced. The album was made and designed by
the Shanghai Juneyao Group, one of the official partners of Shanghai World
Expo.
