Staff of the Dow Chemical Company, one of the world’s top 500 firms, has
responded enthusiastically to the call to serve at the Shanghai Expo Exhibition
Center.
Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination officials today briefed those who
have signed up to be volunteers at the center which will look at the history of
past expos as well as the latest progress for the 2010 event.
The US-based Dow is the first enterprise to organize employees to serve at
the center. So far, 400 staff members of the company have signed up.
Senior officials of Dow said participating in the 2010 Expo is a reflection
of the company's sense of social responsibility and it is a great honor to be
involved in the event.
