Expo organisers on Tuesday created a Wi-Fi network at the Expo mascot
unveiling ceremony to make it easy for photographers to transfer images.
Photographers could send pictures back to their respective editors via the
Wi-Fi network, thus allowing photojournalists the chance to concentrate on
capturing the best images.
China Mobile provided the network during the unveiling of Haibao, the mascot
of Expo 2010.
Organisers also plan to cover the entire Expo site with this technology and
to offer tourists this special service, according to the chief of China Mobile
Expo Department.
China Mobile also will provide a Wi-Fi network for the Beijing Olympics in
2008.
