A statue of Shanghai Expo Mascot today appears in the Yuyuan Garden, one of the most popular tourist spots in Shanghai, to greet the upcoming Chinese New Year.

The 2.3-meter-high Haibao statue, the first one appears in the city, welcomes millions of visitors in Yuyuan.

More Haibaos will appear in downtown city in 2008, including in Xujiahui and Xintiandi.
